Word Merge File
The best way to mail merge CRMHaven Clients with Word is to export the client data to Excel and merge a new Word document with this spreadsheet. But should you want to merge the data inside CRMHaven, then you can use the following feature.

  • Set any Clients you want to be mail-merged as Marked.
  • Click the Actions button and choose Merge to Word. A window will appear with some sample fields ready for you to complete the letter.
  • Edit the text in the window to complete your letter. Chose a field from the pop up at the bottom of the window to add that field inside the letter.
  • Click the ‘Merge…’ button to merge every Marked Client’s details into a Word (.doc) file. Internally the file is only a text file. You can open this file in Word, add header and footers and format it before printing.

Save As
Clicking the Save As button allows you to save the contents of the pre-merged letter for later retrieval. Open the file with any word-processor and paste into the window to begin merging again.

Clipboard
Clinking on the Clipboard button performs the same function as the Merge button except that it merges the client letter and places it on the computer’s clipboard. This can then be pasted into any word-processor or text editor without having to save first as a file.
