- Choose TwitHaven from the Window menu (command-T on Macintosh or control-T on Windows or Linux).
- Click the New button. A New Message window will appear.
- Choose the User or Group who you want to message to go to. The message will go to everyone in the both the group and/or the user.
- Type the Message you want to send.
- Click the Send button.
Attachments
If you want to include an attachment, click the Attach check box. You will be asked to select a file for including with the message. Attachments are not included with the received Message but are enclosed with the email.
Options
- IT departments can define email addresses to forward their messages to SMS phone services. TwitHaven does not perform this function.
- The message will appear on the recipient’s computer for one month (by default). You can change the dates and time when a message will appear. This means you can extend or reduce the time the message will appear or even delay the time before the message will begin to appear.
- You can send yourself a message to appear after a certain date and time as a reminder.
- As you type your message the number of characters will appear just below the message. This is important as SMS messages on mobile phones can accept a maximum of only 140 characters. You can enter as many characters as you want in the message.
